Regenerative Rice Project

Carbon Revolve scales high-integrity nature-based assets in Bangladesh using precision AWD hydrology and robust digital dMRV

Project Overview

Preparing Sustainable practices

The Carbon Revolve Regenerative Rice Project (C3RP) actively transitions high-emission smallholder networks in Porakhali and Mothurapur villages, located within Sreedharpur Union under Abhaynagar Upazila, into premium carbon assets. Evaluating 103 local farmers, the framework achieved a 97.1% reduction in synthetic chemicals and 89.3% biofertilizer adoption. Paddy yields stabilized at 79.89 Maunds while precision drainage lowered pumping run-times to save BDT 1,662.14 in seasonal irrigation costs per farmer. This foundational model accelerates regional scale-up toward a 10,000-hectare footprint by 2030.

Project Impact

The comparison reveals a highly successful shift toward regenerative practices. The project achieved substantial milestones, notably in biofertilizer adoption (increasing from 1% to 89.3%) and a 97.1% reduction in synthetic chemical inputs. It also delivered tangible financial benefits, yielding an average irrigation savings of BDT 1,662.14 per farmer. However, precision field adoption of Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD)

plumbing infrastructure remains restricted to a 6.8% active deployment rate. This indicates a critical structural gap between high farmer awareness and actual technical implementation. The next scaling phase must transition from baseline behavioral motivation to precise technical data management, automated MRV integration, and enhanced occupational safety frameworks.

Livestock Inclusion

Livestock Health at C3RP

Carbon Revolve successfully organized its 06 Animal Vaccination Campaign within the project area of the Carbon Revolve Regenerative Rice Project (C3RP) to reinforce community animal welfare and protect essential livestock assets. The high-impact drive commenced at 8:00 AM and concluded at 1:00 PM, drawing widespread participation from local farmers who brought a total of 480 cows, 320 goats, and 200 hens to receive critical immunizations.

Animal Vaccination Campaign

Animal Vaccination Campaign

  • Cattle Protection: A total of 480 cows received a robust combination of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), Anthrax, and Haemorrhagic Septicemia (HS) vaccines, systematically shielding the herds from severe respiratory failures and fatal systemic infections.
  • Goat Immunity: A cohort of 320 goats was successfully inoculated against devastating regional plagues using the Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) vaccine alongside the Goat Pox vaccine.
  • Poultry Security: A flock of 200 hens received the BCRDV / Newcastle Disease (Ranikhet) vaccine combined with the Gumboro (Infectious Bursal Disease) vaccine to prevent rapid-spreading, high-mortality viral outbreaks.
