World Oceans Day 2024 Awaken New Depths

This year's World Oceans Day theme is "Awaken New Depths"

The ocean is the most important pillar of the climate system. Considering the rapidly changing climate, oceans are becoming a concern for the global community. In 2002, the Canadian Ocean Project proposed celebrating World Ocean Day to catch the global community’s attention. World Oceans Day 2024  Awaken New Depths has started with focused objectives. It aimed to protect and restore natural coastal and ocean ecosystems. The day is celebrated with seminars, workshops, and presenting the previous year’s report. The program has been ongoing since 2008, and the theme for 2024 is “Awaken New Depths.”
